The Pygmy 5" Captain Series Reel the latest in Alvey's new whale range of side cast reels. Building on the strength and success of the Stealth range of reels, Alvey has partnered with an Australian polymer manufacturer to develop a new carbon fiber reinforced Nylon material that has been deployed across its new range of premium reels. The captain series takes advantage of this new material to provide strength and durability whilst reducing weight and providing increased performance.
To compliment this stylish new reel Alvey have also included a stainless-steel handle with their latest upgraded handle knobs to keep you in touch with your catch at all times.
A drag lever on the back of the reel will allow you to disengage the anti-reverse mechanism. A stylish and convenient stainless-steel star drag compliments the smooth clutch multi-plate design with polished brass plates combined with PTFE coated woven glass washer which can also withstand very high temperatures.
This model incorporates Alvey's Easy Cast System, allowing anglers to switch the reel from right to left-handed in a fast and convenient manner.
This Australian made reel is available in three new colours and finished off with decorative stainless-steel name badges on the front.
