Ride the Wave Festival 2026 brought the Port Macquarie coast to life in March with an exciting surf competition catering for juniors and seniors.
MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Ride The Wave is dedicated to raising funds for the local chapter of Make A Difference and it’s a great opportunity for the community to come together, enjoy themselves and the amazing place they live, and support a worthy cause.
We’re honoured to be a sponsor of the surf contest and it did not disappoint.
Showcasing rising young talent alongside experienced surfers, the competition for top honours took place across multiple divisions. Held at Town Beach, the heats ran over several days in very contestable conditions.
TOWN BEACH LIGHTS UP
The surf delivered clean, powerful sets, creating the ideal canvas for talent of all ages and experience to showcase their ability. The waves offered just enough challenge to push rising stars while the seniors took full advantage of the outgoing tide with consistent swell.
The conditions elevated the entire event as the tide turned and the afternoon finals were amazing to watch. Congratulations to all the winners and well done to everyone who competed!
Beyond the surf, the festival itself is an annual community celebration with lively market stalls, food vendors, family-friendly activities, a skate contest and performances from a host of live acts.
